If you want to print multiple copies of any material (for example hand-outs or inclusion in a book) please ask our copyright coordinator. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF MELBOURNE MUSEUM OF PRINTING AS SOURCE IS REQUIRED, preferably accompanied by the relevant link. Please indicate to us how the acknowledgement is to appear, how many copies are to be printed, their format, and how you will advise us of the eventual number of copies printed and how they were distributed. If you want to use any of our information or images in digital format (whether on the web or otherwise), ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF MELBOURNE MUSEUM OF PRINTING AS SOURCE IS REQUIRED, preferably accompanied by the relevant link. Please indicate how the acknowledgement is to appear and advise us of the format, quantities, web location and other details as appropriate. Please confer with us if you intend to provide a caption for any image or a descriptive intro to any of our text. We would like to know that such caption or description is accurate and will assist you if you will allow that. We would of course be delighted to receive a copy of any publication that includes our material, for our library and to show our supporters! We would like you to indicate a willingness to pay a reasonable fee for use of our images or information. Please don't take advantage of the fact that we are all amateurs and have little experience with copyright matters. If you are a museum run by volunteers, in connection with your display of printing history, a very low fee or none at all will be acceptable, but other conditions are the same. OUR OWN MUSEUM'S LEAFLETS If you download any of our leaflets or fact sheets, print it in hard copy and distribute it unaltered, the fee will be zero but your advice is still required as above. If you include it on your web-page, please make it a link, not a copy, so your readers will have a chance to know our website, we will gain satisfaction from seeing the usage, and it will update when we update our page. If you cannot do that, please educate us by explaining why not. IMAGES TO ORDER If you cannot find exactly the image you need on our website, we will try to produce what you need by photographing the machines and artefacts in our collection. TEXT TO ORDER Likewise, we would like to assist you with user-friendly descriptions of equipment and processes relating to printing. Just ask. Perhaps send us a picture of an object for discussion. After all, our main reason for being is to promote understanding of printing. CONTACT US All intending users please email the Museum. Phone contact is possible on 9689 7555 (area code 03) (from overseas +613). Leave a message if appropriate (not attended full-time) ... we will ring you back.
