Before one starts a printing project at MMOP, a bit of planning is highly recommended. Page size, pages on a sheet, available paper size, will it be cut or torn, margins, text block width, which press is appropriate, full-size mock-up of all pages (or typical pages), how many pages/sheets, what type-size, how many words likely to fit on one page, how many pages. Does MMOP have suitable stocks of that type, or does it need to be made. Don't worry, MMOP has its own typefoundry for movable types ... or would a typesetting machine be more appropriate?
Zoe went through all these issues with the Curator before making any moves. Zoe loved this press, over 160 years old and still good. Visitors can watch you when you print on this press because it's located in the Show Room.
