"Enthusiastic student shows how to print"

Many professionals involved in 'Design', or teaching it, such as Graphic Designers, Advertising Creatives and experts in printing and pre-press, find it informative to visit MMOP and spend a day or two designing, typesetting and printing without a computer.

Each year for the past nine or so, MMOP has been part of the AG Ideas annual event for designers and design students in Melbourne. AG Ideas participants are able to spend an evening in one of forty or so design studios, seeing industry at first hand. MMOP is one of the studios, and about a dozen participants come over for an evening and see some of the traditional methods and equipment of typography. They get to print their own copy of a small poster as a souvenir.

This picture shows one of the visitors taking her turn at printing a poster, while the others look on.
